ALL WHO WANDER ARE NOT LOST !

The questions I get most often are “ What kind of camera do you use?” or “ How come my photos don’t look like yours?”

Part of it is  equipment. I have invested many bucks to have the necessary tools to do the job at the level I desire. After all, photography is my profession as well as my passion, second only to sports.

Secondly is my experience. Except for driving a cab in Dallas for a year, I have always been a photographer. I started taking photos when I was eight. At twelve, I had my own darkroom and was selling sports action photos to the local paper for $5.00 a pop. This led to weekend & summer work as a photographer with the Irving Daily News.

Two years later I bought a turquoise and white 56 Chevy with my photo earnings. I was hooked; it was amazing that people would pay me money for doing what I loved.

I started as a photographer with the Dallas Morning News at sixteen and continued there through high school and while attending North Texas State University. While at the D.M.N. I covered an array of assignments that included photographing Division I colleges and Dallas Cowboy games.

My next job was as photographer for the Dallas Cowboy Football Weekly. For three years, I went to all Cowboy games including Super Bowls V, VI & VII. During this time I was also the team photographer for the ABA Dallas Chaparrals and the Dallas Tornado professional soccer team.

Next, I worked as a corporate photographer for L.T.V., a Dallas based aerospace and defense firm. I traveled the globe photographing various hardware in military operations.

Seeking respite from big city life, too much time away from my family, and corporate B.S., I purchased the existing Alpine studio in 1990, and have continued to be blessed: having people pay me for what I love to do: making photographs.
